Hi-Tech Project Delivery

VSPL commissioned a bespoke, highly demanding race and test telemetry solution for a leading Formula 1 team. Working closely with the client's engineers and software personnel, the prototype of this system was delivered and shown to work in just six weeks from initial contact. Since being deployed in 2000, the solution was in service for 10 years until the team withdrew from competing. Housed in rugged racks it performed with unprecedented reliability for the customer, despite the rigours of constant worldwide shipping and handling, due to a radical and unique upgrade and maintenance procedure that was a first in the industry.

System Integration

A global media conglomerate approached VSPL to integrate a computing solution for a ground breaking high-end digital audio mixing station. VSPL continue to support and maintain this vital element for studios located around the world.

IT Storage: Digital Archive

VSPL beat over 30 storage vendors and resellers in the UK to win the tender to supply a British institution with large scale archival storage for digital objects. The proposal, based on JetStor disk arrays, provided an extremely low acquisition cost and was selected for it's good reputation among storage managers and low TCO.

Custom Engineering Design

VSPL built a turnkey real time Sonar Data Acquisition System taking data from the seabed via a fibre optic link.

VSPL also designed the entire functionality including interface and drivers to enable aircraft instrumentation data tapes to be processed on a high performance workstation.

Building upon this success, VSPL designed the interface between the computer running the flight model and the machine controlling the hydraulics on the EH-101 European Helicopter simulator.
