Sales Executive | Storage Solutions
We’re seeking an experienced storage sales executive with the ability to qualify high-capacity storage opportunities, focusing predominantly on unstructured data management challenges, to win new accounts for the company. This role will be supported by a pre-sales engineer to help determine the best fit solution to meet the client’s requirements. This is a customer facing role which will require meeting clients and travel to and from sites throughout UK. Strong verbal communication skills are essential, along with an excellent telephone manner, polished presentation skills, a positive attitude, an ability to multitask and prioritise workloads, and the willingness to contribute efficiently as an individual and as part of our team.
Primary duties & responsibilities are to:
- prospect, qualify and close new business sales opportunities
- identify and undertake own prospecting to expand contacts and generate new leads
- meet but preferably exceed agreed profit targets monthly
- create and maintain close working relationships with multiple vendors
- research current and emerging technologies and maintain industry leading knowledge on the latest trends and methodologies
- deliver high quality written proposals
- ensure compliance with quality system sales process.
Desired knowledge and experience include:
- minimum of five years’ experience selling high-capacity storage solutions
- broad experience and proficiency in a range of the latest technologies e.g. file systems, cloud, object storage, scale-out NAS, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, archiving, compliance
- demonstrable track record of sales success and exceeding targets
- excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- ability to establish strong relationships from technical end-users through to C-level
- skilled and ethical negotiation techniques – tenacity and determination to close deals
- proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- high-motivation and results-oriented – good at meeting deadlines under pressure
- excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communications
- personable, enthusiastic and friendly, numerate and analytical
- desire to stick with longer-term sales cycles – typically six to 12 months
- content-generating vertical sales experience advantageous.
