Sales Executive | Storage Solutions

We’re seeking an experienced storage sales executive with the ability to qualify high-capacity storage opportunities, focusing predominantly on unstructured data management challenges, to win new accounts for the company. This role will be supported by a pre-sales engineer to help determine the best fit solution to meet the client’s requirements. This is a customer facing role which will require meeting clients and travel to and from sites throughout UK. Strong verbal communication skills are essential, along with an excellent telephone manner, polished presentation skills, a positive attitude, an ability to multitask and prioritise workloads, and the willingness to contribute efficiently as an individual and as part of our team.

Primary duties & responsibilities are to:

  • prospect, qualify and close new business sales opportunities
  • identify and undertake own prospecting to expand contacts and generate new leads
  • meet but preferably exceed agreed profit targets monthly
  • create and maintain close working relationships with multiple vendors
  • research current and emerging technologies and maintain industry leading knowledge on the latest trends and methodologies
  • deliver high quality written proposals
  • ensure compliance with quality system sales process.

Desired knowledge and experience include:

  • minimum of five years’ experience selling high-capacity storage solutions
  • broad experience and proficiency in a range of the latest technologies e.g. file systems, cloud, object storage, scale-out NAS, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, archiving, compliance
  • demonstrable track record of sales success and exceeding targets
  • excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • ability to establish strong relationships from technical end-users through to C-level
  • skilled and ethical negotiation techniques – tenacity and determination to close deals
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • high-motivation and results-oriented – good at meeting deadlines under pressure
  • excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communications
  • personable, enthusiastic and friendly, numerate and analytical
  • desire to stick with longer-term sales cycles – typically six to 12 months
  • content-generating vertical sales experience advantageous.

Sales Engineer | Storage Solutions

We’re seeking an experienced technician, with a storage background to assist the sales team and to provide technical leadership on all our customer engagements. This is a customer facing role which will require meeting with clients. Strong technical and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a positive attitude, an ability to multitask, prioritise workloads, and the willingness to contribute efficiently as an individual and as part of the team.

Primary duties & responsibilities are to:

  • lead technical discussions around solving data management challenges
  • assist with the development of technical proposals and deliver high level technical presentations
  • conduct advanced solution design and architecture of complex storage solutions, produce logical architectures and related technical content
  • conduct site surveys and perform environmental assessments
  • collaborate with multiple vendors when demonstrating solution capabilities, managing evaluation engagements and undertaking system integration
  • research current and emerging technologies and maintain industry knowledge on the latest trends and methodologies
  • maintain close relationships with customers and act as a trusted technical advisor.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • integration, testing, installation and configuration of multi-vendor IT infrastructure
  • collaboration with multi-vendor support organisations to assist remote and on-site fault diagnosis, and management of the support call through to its logical conclusion
  • field maintenance of server and storage infrastructure.

Desired knowledge and experience include:

  • enterprise storage solution design, architecture and implementation experience
  • broad experience and proficiency in a range of the latest technologies e.g. file systems, cloud, object storage, scale-out NAS, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, archiving, compliance
  • practical experience with multiple operating systems e.g. Linux, Windows, VMware
  • strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical problems
  • excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • strong presentation (white board) and communication skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Security Clearance (SC), working within law enforcement or Central Government, or recent relevant industry certifications advantageous.
